Lean To Conservatories

Lean To conservatories can be identified as having a roof that slopes away from the house. They are a classic design with simple, clean lines and are well suited to properties that have a low roofline, such as bungalows.

Lean Tos are often a more affordable style of conservatory, but by no means do they lack style or quality. They are incredibly versatile, and can be styled with a variety of options to add style and character to match your desired look.

Victorian Conservatories

With a bold and traditional look, Victorian conservatories are decorative and have an ornate gothic style. Whilst other conservatory styles are flat fronted, Victorian conservatories have a rounded, faceted front. This provides a distinctive look with maximum views of the outside, whilst making the conservatory feel very spacious. Victorian styles usually feature an apex roofline and spike finials.

A Victorian conservatory requires a property to have enough roofline, suiting traditional style houses and perhaps not the right choice for bungalows or new build houses.

Edwardian Conservatories

Edwardian conservatories are similar to Victorian, however the Victorian style has a rounded front whereas the Edwardian style is square or rectangular. This style is a little more subdued with a less ornate finish, suiting those who prefer the subtle style of the Edwardian era.

These conservatories usually have four roof facets that form an apex to look separate to the main roof of the house. Edwardian designs can maximise available space and are often well suited to houses with a low roofline or bungalows.

Gable End Conservatories

Instead of sloping backwards, Gable End conservatories have a full-height to the apex of the roofline at the front of the conservatory. This additional roof height can add grandeur, increase versatility and maximise internal space for practical use.

This style requires a house that is tall enough to accommodate its apex, but can suit both traditional and modern properties alike.
